Hola Madre,

well Im going to do something Durastic! Im only going to write a little bit to you right now in an effort to better motivate me to write you on paper... I bought 4 pairs of slacks and a new suit about two weeks ago so im going to use my wells fargo card here a few times for shopping and to send a package... ill try to get some of the money back on by next monday...I had a good week and we found A TON of new investigators ... like one a day at least... all with baptismal dates. but none of them came to church so it almost feels like all is for not... 0 progressing feels more like 0 progress. but we are doing the things that we are suppost to be doing so i know that god will bless me in the long run. ill keep thrusting my sickle in and maybe ill harvest some good seeds? lol well I love you all and its not too hat.. just between 99 and 105 so im good there.. ill talk  to you all next week. -ELder Logan

hola,
well mom its going good.  I have been managing to stay cool lately .. you know 101 107 no me importa ..(basically it means somewhere between 'i dont care' and 'no big deal')(or just it is not important to me...) haha but ya spanish is coming along just fine.. i dont know if its ever been a "struggle" but im definintly still learning... at least i understand just about everything now... you really start to feel like you've lost a few months of your mission studying a language and then realizing that your JUST starting to understand it.. and apperintly what you thought you heard three weeks ago isnt even close.. but i find solace in the fact that im helping Gods work progress " boldly and nobly" and that I am helping people hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their respective tongue... now i might not come back with the same wide variety of vocabulary as Andrew or Dad but i should be just fine holding a conversation with just about ANYONE who speaks spanish :P yay.. .... as you can see from the pictures a few Elders got transered today... I am NOT one of them... i now have the opportunity to Baptise at least one person this Transfer.. namely Dulce... Ramona to if she can quit smoking by this saturday... i know she can do it with the help of the lord. besides that there really isnt any cool news..... we did have a cool experience where we were walking past hre teenagers playing ball and we almost didnt say anything out of something like fear like " o they wouldn't be interested" but then i was just like o well here it goes... just like getting up to bear your testimony ... same feeling... you just gotta do it right.. lol so two 15 year olds and an 18 year old now have baptismal dates for the 20th of next month and said that they would pray to know it it was true ... it was cool to see the spirit work through me and Elder Adams... iv'e been trying to talk to EVERYONE but sometimes when you have a REALLY good day planned and NOTHING works out the way you wanted it gets hard to just walk up all smiley and say hello were the missionaries lol just sometimes.... besides then everything is muy bueno. i love you all and hope to hear again next week ---Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

haha Yeah I heard there was a big dust storm or something like that... i think it might have started here in tucson... but then we got rain at the same time so it was just dirty rain... ya sure its been hot... but definintly tolerable ... by 4 o clock every day its over cast and windy.. at like 100 degrees though that feels soooo good... im LOVING the monsoons for that reason...I have been righting my personal journal on paper and mailing it to her once or twice a week... i think that will keep you all attle more caught up...
of cource ill continue praying for you ... and i know you'll do Muy excelente a su trabajo.. al la mejor... Usted va a recibir muchos ofrendas de los jefes. lol just for fun... i want you to be able to understand by the time i get back because me and Andrew .. pues, vamos a practicar nuestros espaniol cada tiempo que nos hablamos. so listen up mama. lol
As for investigators to pray for.. basically the same .. pray for ruben to come to church again.. and for hermana palafox que ella puede tener los bendicones de mostrando su fe. porque ella viene al la iglesia esta semana, ella va a estar expulsada... pero esperamos que ella vaya a estar bendicio de dios por mostrada su fe.
other that that pray that Ramna wont buy anymore cigarettes.. (she hasen't gon to buy them in about a week.. and smoked the last one she had on saturday night!) and that Everyone else wil get the ganas to come to chuch .. or like read and pray... lol that'd be nice tambien i hope that all goes well this week with everything that is going on.. i love you all and will talk to you next week.

Hola madre,
well I hear raechel has received her endowments, how crazy. I'm really happy for her, AND really excited to hear what she was thinking about it all... (hint hint seester) its crazy to me now to think of home... and not know where it is or what it looks like....well besides those pictures.. lol... I'll definintly think about moving into our house when i get back... but it would be strange to not have my old room.. lol it really changes my way of thinking about it... Tell Grandma and Grandpa that ill be sending them a letter soon... I dont know why its soo hard for me to write everybody.. i sit down to do it and something ALWAYS comes up.. lol i'll work aliittle harder. As for Investigators...  well my new companion doesnt really think that any of them are progressing so he's all gung ho on dropping them and finding new ones...  which isn't bad i just have such attachments to my first investigators... i'd hate to just "leave them".. i feel like i haven't made a big enuff difference in their lives... like something should have clicked by now... and for alot of them it has... but they are just soooo attached to old traditions and habbits that they can't do anything ... so last week we gave them a bit of an eternal prospective and challeges a few of them to change and call us when they need help... but soo far nothing... I'msad to hear about the dogs... but their time has been coming... I just hope grandma and Grandpa dont take it too hard... they've always had dogs... are they going to get more? Yeah it had gotten to like 119 out here.. but then the monsoons started...... 10 -20+ mile an hour winds with more rain in thirty minutes then temecula usually sees in a week of rain... it floods and floows and crashes.... nearly a foot and a half high water in most places... we almost got caught in it.. we barely made it home about 8 minutes into the rain .... and the rivers were already a constant foot high... it was crazy... luckely we arent suppost to be out (in a car) in those so we got a quick little rest before we went out to work... but yes usually its out on bikes from 12 to 5 in at least 105 degree weather.. dry as a dust storm..... but yeah thats about it... we are working more on finding new people to teach this week.. pray for Ramona to see the truth about her 'friend' cig... that she will see he is a cunning devils advocate... and that she will have the streangh to beat him. pray for us to find some Children of god who are Ready to find GODs church on the earth. I love you all and ill talk to you next week.. (couldn't E-mail yesterday because things were closed.)

hola madre,
Well, all is well here, we have 12 people that we are teaching + a few im not counting.. these twelve could technically ALL be baptised in T-3 weeks... the chances are slim to none, but with god on our side.. EVERYTHING is possible,.... so La familia Caro,
1)Carlos, Maria, and Carla; the dad and mom just had their individual walls knocked down this last week and just need to read pray, receive there answer and be baptised... but they dodged church again this week... so we will be teaching more towards baptism and receiving an answer and the commandments and the blessings from keeping them.
2)Ramona, and Dulce ( whos 9); The Mom just needs to stop smoking but the Cigarette has such subconscous power and when it came down to it she couldnt even snap a little twig in half..(cigarette).. but we are still having her slow down ALOT.. down to only two or three a day.. so we are switching attention to the daughter.....
3) Maria palafox, Ariana(9), Alma(8): We just REfound this family they had been taught about a year ago and they need some help.. shes living with a guy that she doesnt love... she is illegal and were 90% sure she gets beaten.. but that she hits back now so he has stopped.... she loves everything that she has learned but the (boyfriend) husband doesnt like her meeting with us.. so we are going to try to talk to him this week... please pray for him to have a soft heart :D...
4)Ruben Rivera: We are going by on tuesday to make baptismal invitations with him... hopefully he chooses a date in the near future... like the 2nd or 9th... he's ready but wants to know more first... lol so we expained that baptism is the door that puts you on the path to knowledge and Eternal life.. (he make doors as a welder).. so i  think that ot him ready..
5)Jose : just needs to come to church and read and pray and know more... lol
6) carina(innactive member) Jesus(her spouse): She wants to come back to church and he kinda wants us to teach him so that he can find out why she believes its true...
7)Ernesto...  if he could except that God has an exclusivity agreement with this church he would already be a member...
8)George: old lonely man ...  just needs to come to chuch three times... but i think that he thinks its true...
recent contacts that want to learn more just pray for their hearts to be softened.. Deni, Olga, and Milagro.
wwell thats about where im at and i need to spout some spanish at dad and my mission president(last week for him.. they switch tomorrow)

Thursday, June 9, 2011

how crazy..... its going to be weird not having my house to come home to... i guess thats kinda how andrew felt when his room...wasnt his room anymore... i am doing good.. no baptisms yet.. but i do have news...... IM GETTING A NEW COMPANION TODAY!!! Elder johnston was a super good dad to me and hes off to whitewash a bad, all bike area, thats only english.. crazy huh? its kindof cool im temporarily companions with my MTC comp elder Warner and my District leader from the MTC Elder Lawson (he has add worse than me...) my new compaion is going to be Elder Adams hes coming all the way from deming new mexico to take my Comps spot... he sounds like a good mom.. but from what i hear he's a feminist ... so i have to watch my (woman are bad drivers comments....)(thanks Andrew) but i think we willl get along just fine..
so we have quite a few progressing investigators... theres Ruben Rivera who has been to church 4 times and wants to get baptised but doesnt know for sure that everything is true..... yet... then there is Ernesto Franco who has been working alot and has slowed down his baptism by not being available to teach.. and he smokes.. then there is Carla who is going through a divorce...at 25 and doesnt really want to... but she wants to be baptised on a happy day...and those dont come often for her... then there is Ramona who believes but smokes and has ALOT of health problems that have been slowing her down... and then there is George who is just a lonely old man whos wife has just left him.. he 'Says' he wants to be baptised... and then there is Hector who is just a few months of getting his full citizenship.. but needs to get married with his wife of like 30 years... which would push his papers back at least a year... and thats about it for the ones "on the radar"
o i used my social and my pin and pulled 20 out of the bank a week or two ago... just so you know .. i cant remember if i already told you.. ill put it back in a month or so.. as for fun.. i love teaching people who want to learn... i had a cool experience with Ernesto about a month ago... he was worried that he was being punnished by god by losing his son... it was kind of a weird situation but i promised him in the nam eof the savior that that wasnt the case... he kindof pushed it off and said it was just words and he didnt believe... but then i stopped him.. told him that as missionaries we Represent the savior and that we are here to do and say what he would do and say if he himself were there... then i repeated my promise (i dont remember the promise) and basically just told him tat the lord had needed his sons help in heaven or something along those lines.... it was a very 'the windows of heaven were opened experience.... i havent had alot of those but i just love the feeling where you can see whats happining but you have no clue whats coming out of your mouth because you've let the spirit take over... he just started balling right there.. his burden was lifted and i testify that it was NOT ME that said those words to him. O the mysterious way in which the lord works .... i have a bunch of pictures for you all but im going to wait till next week so that i can put the new companion on there as well :D I love you all and thank you for all your love and support.          _--Elder Logan

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Hello mom :D.. ya I knew she would be... and i was equally glad to write it... i knew that she was probably worried and stressing and emotional for at least a week or two there but i honestly didn't have much time to write for the passed two weeks.. we finally got home at like 8:50 one night because noone was home and we didnt have any more appointments .. so i rushed to writing one... i spent the week worrying alittle bit in the back of my mind about what i was doing to her... so i really CANT forget to do that again.. ill have to make time... well i didnt get much time today because the library is packed and i had to write a buch to pres... and a bit to dad... but know that i am still working hard, and that none of the investigators got baptised and that we are still trying our hardest to help their eternal souls find happyness. _--Elder Logan

hola madre, well That is definintly some sad news .. i knew Brother Nutting pretty well.... i hope the rest of the family is doing ok... was it like a heart attack or did it just stop working??.... i will definintly say some prayers for the family....
actually on that note... im going to the temple tomorrow and i'm pretty excited... ive only been to the sandiego and orem valley temples before so i cant wait to see another beauty of the lord. Brother Nutting was a Really good man... i'm sure that hes been called upon to hel[p prepare for the second Coming in one way or another.... besides that there was no baptism this week.. but once we work out some doubts im sure Ernesto will get baptised.. on the other hand we are teaching a woman Ramona and shes liking everything and praying about it and everything.. but she just needs to quit the cigs... so we have her on a 9 day plan, and Rueben who doesnt have any problems but just doesnt like formal lessons lol ... but if you could just keep them in your prayers and ask that they will receive definite, Clear answers to their prayers. I know that the lord wont deny them :D well sadly i dont have much time on me today so i'll bid adue untill next week -Love you all---Elder Logan

ok well I took care of just about everything wallet wise and im going to try to do the cali DL today right after emails... the SS card is trickey since i have rms of ID they just gave me a printout of the number and i have to go ack once i have an id... i should be getting a new mission credit card this week... then i can get some stamps and get to sending out letters again (i hope ashley knows i love her still ;p and want to write)(and that she can still write meeeee)  I can do calls next sunday at like 6:30 but since mom and dad dont live together i get an hour with each.... just so you can plan it out however you want. im REALLY looking forward to it .... so the pic... well i went on an exchange with my zone leader and we went to the chappel in the Los reales area (alittle south of mine) to teach an english class... that guy was a member and just decided to take my pic and send it to you lol ... the ball just happened to be there... no clue whose it was lol. this week is going good except ernesto wanted to push his baptism one week for some reason... it might have been something a member said about g's lol (you can erase that part before the bulk if you want lol) but we havent seen him in like 4 days to talk about it because he works late and such... but he s still on board for the 14th.. Rhuben rivera is also progressing nicely for the 21st as well as an 18 year old named Alan. i guess i dnt have much time either but know that i love you mom and everyone else who reads .. (raechel, andrew, Ellen, Dad, Ashley, GRANDMA &GRANDPA) and friends and other family. -Elder Logan o and the new wellsfargo card should be there in like 6 more days. bye all.

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

well i did get both of your emails.. i will pray alittle harder for gramma this week... its definintly been  a tough one.. lol but all things considering we are working hard, reaping bennifits and we are happy and all is well.. i dont know if i've recieved any mail this week because since its transfer week they hold all missionaries mail at the mission office.. I didn't get transfered or anything i'm still with my training in the area i was 'born'... so ill write letters and everything tonight.. but if i dont send any out its because i dont have any stamps and i lost my wallet .. soo hold tight for another week... so last week on tuesday my companions bike got stolen.. they cut the chain and only took his bike... then my tires went and poped the day before we got his new bike.. (dont know how because we didnt ride it that day at all lol) then i baught a new innertube and two new tires.. (that was the twenty i took out) (and i believe i put 10 back in) (but then spent 8 on perro {fake coffe for an investagator} so 190 sounds about right... since then both our bikes have just been popping nonstop.. we went to shell for the free air but the nozzle was broken so we had to walk to circle K (75 cents) but since i didn't have change i pulled out my wallet and used my card (the church card .. probably only had a buck or two left for this month...we stalked up on food two weeks ago ad still havent had to get anything but milk since then) then i guess i left my wallet sitting there (and i am very protective of my wallet i dont lose it....) but heres a first lol then we went to a bike mechanic who fixes our bikes for free because he had come to church for easter.. and by the time we got there i was on flat again lol la presidente of our spanish branch lives on the same street and since Senna (mechanic) wasnt there we walked up the street to get some more air.... it worked and got us to our lunch appointment with a lady that All the elders english and spanish know... and on the way there my companions tire poped lol so we walked around the corner after lunch and spent some time with the english elders that are in our area.. they gave us some knew intertubes and a tire zipper to help get the tires off and on... and a hand pump for the rest of the day.... thats when i put my hand in my pocket and immediately knew my wallet was missing and that i had left it sitting on the machine... so we rushed back and ... nothing... i left my name and number with the store workers so that if they found the wallet they could get ahold of me... but thats about it .... a hard week but with oposition in all things we just need to work harder than the adversary and we will be blessed keep praying for ernesto franco, he is having a bit of problems (healthwise) because he gave up smoking and coffe all of the sudden... hes doin ok but its definently  hard for him..... untill next week .. ill let you know how everything is going then.. and i might have some pictures for you all then

Well im not going to write alot just because i have to reply to Andrew and Dad and Raechel because they all write me as well :D um I really ran out of time fast today but will probably get some hand written letters started (hop[efully finished) tonight .. then again i do need stamps.. lol itll work out well we were dropped this week by our Best bet investigator he just said that he was tired of lying to us and he is just not ready for this kind of commitment.. but *seeing how old he is and health problems and such ..if i were him it would be the first priority... but o well we met anouther guy this week and i can really tell that he believes in the church more every day... and we witnessed a baptism with us this week and came to church on sunday so we are praying that his only problem is smoking.. lol but if you could pray for ernesto to have the streangth to quit smoking and Jose munez to come to church.. and maria and carlos and carla to accept baptismal dates .. that would be awesome... in other news i weighed in tuesday at 184.4 (which i havent seen on a scale in about a year.. and then by friday i was at 196.. and to spare you the explosive and projectile details i was sick with a stomach flu from 3 oclock saturday morning till yesterday night.. sunday wasnt as bad as saturday and i made it threw church with ALOT of praying... but long and short of it .. i weighed in at 179.4 today but i feel much better... just gassy.. but ill take it lol ... another missionary had the same problem earlier in the week and i heard sunday that there might have been a problem with some of the milk.... but other than that.. I feel like im coming along great out here and the life is simple to maintain but difficult to fit ... in other word really busy lol i grow closer to my heavenly father everyday and i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the true church of Jesus christ established once again to the earth in preparation for the second coming of the messiah. i know also that every prayer is heard and if you pray with a sincere hart, ready to do your part, and fully expecting an answer... your prayers will be answered. and for the sake of time tell grandma and grandpa I Love them and think of them often, and scroll through my camera pictures of them at least once a week. I love you all -Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

Last week's e-mail. Sorry for the delay!

WOW, The House looks like its coming along fast, this week has been kinda long and uneventful, we are Still working ever harder to have some investigators progress. None of them attended conference but i think that the family from last week wanted to. the baby was sick on saturday and sunday and it was her 1 year old birthday... and the babies mom was at the emergency room with stomach pain. they are both ok now but it was kinda sad, we both baught a cute little stuffed animal for the baby and I needed cash today in order to get quarters because it costs 2.50 in quarters a week for laundry, so i baught a hot chocolate and a muffin for breakfast today and pulled out 15$ cash back (so that was 18 dolars all together just so you know.. i would have used my other card but apperintly its credit not debit... but its like prepaid credit lol well I loved conference and i got to watch all of the sessions.. and the parenting 505 made me think of you because i could imagine you sitting there with conference on the computer watching the old home videos and crying your eyes out.. i can't wait to see the new house all finished though so Keep me updated.. besides that just know that we are working hard and biking so much that my leftbike pedal ... like the WHOLE thing the pedal and the lever thing the pedal is attached to fell off.. luckily it wasnt to far to the nearest guy we knew who who fixes bikes.. he gave me a whole new pedal and chain set for free.. and then all i did was help him with the truck he is fixing up fo about 45 minutes.. luckily he is a nonmember so we kinda taught him a lesson while we were there. he is such a nice guy ./. but he's kinda a nomad lol well im out of time again.. so with that I love you all and please tell raechel that i love her but just ran out of time to reply to her Email... ok 1 min left  -Elder Logan :p

Saturday, April 2, 2011

hola madre,
hey i think that Dearelder site works as far as my mission goes.... its pretty cool if it does :p im doing pretty good this week, Well we have quite alot of investigators in our teaching pool... we had 4 dates as of last friday, but now we only have two.. one  expired.. or didnt come to church and the other one just agreed to be baptised on the 23rd of april and then his wife visited from mexico and shut down everything.... but interestingly enuff ... the couple that came to church is an older couple WITHOUT a baptismal date lol go figure huh? well they are one set of two "projects" we have this week.. they are Maria and Carlos Caro.. and they have a daughter who is somewhere between 20 and 30 who has her own daughter that all live together.. her name is Carla... (we think... they call her Carlita.. and we can never remember the babies name) but her husband is studying somewhere .... or at leas thats what i heard them say (remember that all this is in spanish.. lol) but ya Carla seems as interested as her mom and dad but couldnt go to the church this weekend.. but we are going to try teaching the more this week and getting them to understand that they need to be baptised by someone holding the proper authority. and once they understand that (and i think we have taught that lesson three times in different ways.{incuding this last sundays' lession which was on preisthood authority} but it doesn't seem to have sunken in yet.) but besides them there is Jos'e who just needs to go to church .. and then there is rene'e who just needs to go to church and Hector who just needs to become legal in order to legally marry his wife and then they can be baptised and then there is ruben and magdalina like maria magdalina (mary magdaline) lol and there son David (who is a few years older then us and is nice to us but doesn't seem to be interested) and there probably some of our newest almost progressives but he couldn't make it to church this week. but we eat with him yesterday night for our break the fast.. can i just say that.. FAST FOOD IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD ... it doesnt even come close.. like mexican food here is hot but it's better than a stinkin Dr Pepper for tastes.... there is seriously not a good enuff word for flavor to decscribe REAL mexican food... except maybeeeeee a plethera of flavors ( and all good flavors at that) I can't even tell you what we ate.. there was beans (refried with cheese) meat (ribs sausage and flanksteak{i think flank} from right off the barby and some kind of spicy salada that didnt have fruits or any kind of lettuce in it and tortillas.. and we would rip the tortillas put allittle of everything (usually only one kind of meat at a time) on at once and that was a bite.. lol (but i cant even tell you what we ate ... lol so just imagine everything i just explained but at least 10 times beter than i explained it) well thats pretty much how things have been this since i came out.. we have other investigators and possibles and we find more everyday... but i guess ill leave you with that last visual for today... here is my favorite scripture for no other reason than i love the visual and have always tryed to put myself in the shoes of the servent of the man of god. 2kings 6:14 hasta 17
14Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his aeyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and bchariots of fire round about Elisha.

New Pictures of Elder Logan!

the Mission Pres. and his wife are very nice we stayed at their house on day one and i was rebuked for not having my driving record (hint: i kinda need it i guess.. if you could send it i'd be glad :D) but there was about a third of us that didnt have it so no harm done yet. (there is a Three week initial no driving policy) I love my new companion Elder Johnston, he is nearly fluent in spanish and it REALLY helps to have him here, i am understanding the language better every day .. but i can still only get my point across very simply. about every other person we speak to is a spanish speaker. Tucson is pretty much Hesperia..... with lots of cacti... i feel right at home.. lol i really like the area and am getting to know it pretty fast because my mission has a 3 hour daily bike policy ... so im out usually for about 4 hours biking and talking to people. um usually i wakeup at 6:15 do a 30 minute excercise consisting of pushups, situps, planks, handstand pushups, and diamond pushups, (only 10 each of the last two) but usually 40 to 60 pushups and situps.. then its shower and study time starts at 7 to 8 then breakfast then 1 hour comp sudy 1 hour language study and then (just for first 6 weeks) there is a 30 min role play.. then around 11 or 1130 we either eat an early lunch to save time or head stright out into the field on our bikes, and stay out until dinner around 4 or 5 and then its in a car till 9 (but thats like 3 out of 7 days it pretty much varies depending on what meetings we have throughout the day.   Thats so Exciting about the house!!!!! i'm happy it worked out for you. i am running low on time though so i'd better say hasta proximo semana.   -Elder Logan

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Ok so I am actually in the Tucson Stake Senora branch and my new companion is Elder Johnston. He is a really cool Elder, I think we will get along just beautifully. I already have a bike, it cost me $150 and I got it from Elder Valintine, I met him in the MTC and we are pretty good friends.. It cost him $200 when he got here 6 weeks ago, but he hasn't needed it yet, so he sold it to me for the $150. It's nice.. I also got a pillow a blanket and a helmet at Walmart and I havent had to use my debit card yet but probably will by next Monday (p-day), so make sure it's nice and balanced so that I can buy like $30 bucks worth of food ... So ya, Mondays are Pday but every six weeks there is a transfer day on Tuesday and that day then becomes P-day. I will ll try to let you know the week before transfer week, but if you send me a Sunday night E-mail every week we will be good. I love you mom and everyone else who is reading and supporting me.
I DID enjoy my first Airplane ride..its pretty much exactly what I expected. So just one other thing--- My call letter said the address was 1848 E River rd ste 102.. but it's 1840 E River rd ste 102 so either way that will get to me. Oh and that's changing next month sometime because I get a new Mission President. So write me within the hour or I wont get it till next week.. (which is fine as well)

Okay... The last two weeks I have gotten your letters, so keep doing what you're doing :D I have recieved ALL of your packages and I got your package with the healthier stuff last night. Did you ever get the hand written letter I sent you in week 2 or 3? I promise that if you send me a hand written letter I will hand write one back. I have to go to the bookstore today and get more stamps, but I'll make sure there is an extra one for you :D I'm having a really great time here. I just mailed off some of my study notes and experiences to Ashley, but I forgot to ask her to make a copy for you... so (unless she is reading this) could someone ask her to ;p  I don't know what you all think about my weight but I was about 190 when I came in, and I havn't gained any really since then.. In fact, I weighed less yesterday. I also sprained my left ankle Monday morning walking to class... I mis-stepped and rolled the bugger. I'm walking on it almost back to normal, and I think it's a blessing because my ankle wasn't as flexible as my right one since I had the cast off. I'm doing 20 minutes of rehab a day now so that it will get as strong as it was in October lol.  Also, about pictures.. I CANNOT attach pictures to emails, and I CAN print them off in the bookstore, but it takes like 7 days .. so I had sent the WHOLE memory card of pictures (about 200 pics) to Ashley because I figured you would get them all too. I'll keep doing that and hope it's enough. I'm supposed to find out my travel plans this week, and I'm supposed to be allowed to call you when that happens, so I'll call your cell phone ok? (It should be like TODAY) but I'm leaving the week of the 14th. I love you all, and I will (hopefully) talk to you soon.. o (and i get to call you from the airport for sure :D)

hola familia,
I know you probably already sent me something on here but again i only recieved dads email.. well my week has been good, my right leg has been yelling at me because i focus on my left leg more when i work out, and vice versa, my left leg doesnt like it alot either but i am getting stronger everyday, physically and spiritually, (but i think spiritual must weigh more, because i weighed myself yesterday and after my workout i was 193 .. i wont tell you what i was before the workout.. haha) but all is well and my teaching in spanish inproves alittle everyday.. im also thinking about doing a tape recording thing sometime this yea just so that you can all HEAR how im doing.. there are alot of elders doing it but i am not sure if any of you would want to hear my voice THAT many times a year.. well ill check in later to see if there is a new email, I love you all and keep you in my prayers... o and mom.. keep babying that leg.. its a pain .. but you dont want to have any pain for the rest of your life... -speaking of life and(my vast) medical knowledge.. i saved an elders life about three weeks ago.. he was in the final stage of staff.. i took one look at it and pleaded with him to get it checked Imediatly.. he had to be takin to emergency.. and i saved a second elder in the early stages of staff about a week later.. its so fulfilling to me that i can recognise some of these things and help people. (phisically and spiritually now :D -  com mi amor.. Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

hola mi familia,
Good job with writing on dear elder.com i received it last night... how is your leg doing mom? I hope it heals up nice.... i am learning soo much here everyday.. this week i am learning how to teach the first lesson in spanish.. (i can if i try already, but its still hard to expain things) its literally an adventure everyday.. my schedual is pretty nice..most days its get up and get ready and be in class a few minutes before 7. then personal study until breakfast at 8:15 then class twice a day for 3 and a half hours each with different teachers.. hermano Reichert teaches grammer and lessons well and then hermano Silva knows all kinds of laguages from experience and helps us sound like natives and works almost acording to our individual needs. usually sometime in there there is anouther hour and a half for companion study and an hour and a half for language study. luch is usually at 1 and dinner at six. 5 days a week i have an hour in the Gym sometime durring the day where i usually play volleyball, and sometimes foursquare, after i run alittle over 2 miles. im trying to keep busy and go into studytime with a purpose and stay on task the whole time. but i do get overwhelmed with all the goals i set sometimes but as i take them one at a time it usually works out for the best. I have two companions. Elder Warner who is a really good missionary with a well rounded personality and then Elder Jones who i can only relate to Andrew. he is a super hard worker who still thinks the idea of getting married someday is kinda icky.. lol and you can tell that he has lived his whole life for the purpose of being a missionary. He is currenty the District leador for this swich and im the senior companion.. and I thank Andrew everyday for teaching me how to live with someone this focussed and dedicated. I love both of them and wouldn't pick any other companions to star off with for the world. Oh and i found out who my companion would have been had i reported on dec 1st and lets just say i wouldnt trade my first companions for anything .. lol i have some pictures with him that im going to print out and send home .. it takes about 7 days so dont be discouraged if you dont see them for a week or two :D -Con mi amor

hola familia,
im doing muy bueno out here .. im learning alot and im really trying to liken the scriptures unto myself and the work im doing. we had a tuesday devotional last week that talked about the pioneers and i really took that one to heart. like im one of the pioneers who has made it to zion and is going back down the trail with supplies so that i can get the less active members and the ones who are "stuck in the snow" and give them hope for the future. and then once i've shared that hope with everyone thats already on the "path to zion" i can go to the ones who dont know the path of zion, and i can teach them the way and help give them the want and the faith necessary to make it all the way to zion relying on their self and the lord. i've also had quite a few experiences where the spirit will just grab hold of my heart when something is said and ill just cry and cry for the joy it brings me. on a different note there is a really bad cold (infuenza) spell going around right now and i got it.. so me and about 14 other missionaries in my zone are on quite a few medications.. (robbutussin and suedafed and ib proffen and cough drops for me) so it doesnt bother us durring the day but sleeping hasent been the best experience for the last 3 days.. o i did get your care package and it was very well received :). i've handwritten quite a few letters to people but so far i havent gotten any back so im just going to put my adress on here for everyone to see..  -with love

we started language classes the first day we were here :D i learned more spanish in that one day then i learned in two years of spanish in high school. i finally got to go to the temple today. its once a week :D i just found out today who my companion would have been if i had reported on december 1st .. lol there is nother group of three companions in the room next to mine and one of them said his companion couldnt report on december 1st .. Elder weaton is his name and i would have had a tough time being his companion... but i love him anyways .. all of my zone is really nice and unified. they all have such a great love for the gospel and for each other. im really doing great here and im learning soo much everyday.  i got unpacked fine but one of my suitjackets is missing its pants.. luckily two of my suits are the exact same color so i can wear both.. i wish i could write you more on here but im running out of time... im going to try to attach some pictures now but i only have a few minutes left so dont be dissapointed :D
