the Mission Pres. and his wife are very nice we stayed at their house on day one and i was rebuked for not having my driving record (hint: i kinda need it i guess.. if you could send it i'd be glad :D) but there was about a third of us that didnt have it so no harm done yet. (there is a Three week initial no driving policy) I love my new companion Elder Johnston, he is nearly fluent in spanish and it REALLY helps to have him here, i am understanding the language better every day .. but i can still only get my point across very simply. about every other person we speak to is a spanish speaker. Tucson is pretty much Hesperia..... with lots of cacti... i feel right at home.. lol i really like the area and am getting to know it pretty fast because my mission has a 3 hour daily bike policy ... so im out usually for about 4 hours biking and talking to people. um usually i wakeup at 6:15 do a 30 minute excercise consisting of pushups, situps, planks, handstand pushups, and diamond pushups, (only 10 each of the last two) but usually 40 to 60 pushups and situps.. then its shower and study time starts at 7 to 8 then breakfast then 1 hour comp sudy 1 hour language study and then (just for first 6 weeks) there is a 30 min role play.. then around 11 or 1130 we either eat an early lunch to save time or head stright out into the field on our bikes, and stay out until dinner around 4 or 5 and then its in a car till 9 (but thats like 3 out of 7 days it pretty much varies depending on what meetings we have throughout the day.        Thats so Exciting about the house!!!!! i'm happy it worked out for you. i am running low on time though so i'd better say hasta proximo semana.   -Elder Logan

Ok so I am actually in the Tucson Stake Senora branch and my new companion is Elder Johnston. He is a really cool Elder, I think we will get along just beautifully. I already have a bike, it cost me $150 and I got it from Elder Valintine, I met him in the MTC and we are pretty good friends.. It cost him $200 when he got here 6 weeks ago, but he hasn't needed it yet, so he sold it to me for the $150. It's nice.. I also got a pillow a blanket and a helmet at Walmart and I havent had to use my debit card yet but probably will by next Monday (p-day), so make sure it's nice and balanced so that I can buy like $30 bucks worth of food ... So ya, Mondays are Pday but every six weeks there is a transfer day on Tuesday and that day then becomes P-day. I will ll try to let you know the week before transfer week, but if you send me a Sunday night E-mail every week we will be good. I love you mom and everyone else who is reading and supporting me.
I DID enjoy my first Airplane ride..its pretty much exactly what I expected. So just one other thing--- My call letter said the address was 1848 E River rd ste 102.. but it's 1840 E River rd ste 102 so either way that will get to me. Oh and that's changing next month sometime because I get a new Mission President. So write me within the hour or I wont get it till next week.. (which is fine as well)

Okay... The last two weeks I have gotten your letters, so keep doing what you're doing :D I have recieved ALL of your packages and I got your package with the healthier stuff last night. Did you ever get the hand written letter I sent you in week 2 or 3? I promise that if you send me a hand written letter I will hand write one back. I have to go to the bookstore today and get more stamps, but I'll make sure there is an extra one for you :D I'm having a really great time here. I just mailed off some of my study notes and experiences to Ashley, but I forgot to ask her to make a copy for you... so (unless she is reading this) could someone ask her to ;p  I don't know what you all think about my weight but I was about 190 when I came in, and I havn't gained any really since then.. In fact, I weighed less yesterday. I also sprained my left ankle Monday morning walking to class... I mis-stepped and rolled the bugger. I'm walking on it almost back to normal, and I think it's a blessing because my ankle wasn't as flexible as my right one since I had the cast off. I'm doing 20 minutes of rehab a day now so that it will get as strong as it was in October lol.  Also, about pictures.. I CANNOT attach pictures to emails, and I CAN print them off in the bookstore, but it takes like 7 days .. so I had sent the WHOLE memory card of pictures (about 200 pics) to Ashley because I figured you would get them all too. I'll keep doing that and hope it's enough. I'm supposed to find out my travel plans this week, and I'm supposed to be allowed to call you when that happens, so I'll call your cell phone ok? (It should be like TODAY) but I'm leaving the week of the 14th. I love you all, and I will (hopefully) talk to you soon.. o (and i get to call you from the airport for sure :D)
