Good Morning mother!
so this past week went by Great! I had a very uplifting and Testimony building experience on Prayer. lets see. Ill start with the last month. So my companion and I have been Doing Everything we know how to do, saying prayer after prayer to help the people in our areas progress in the gospel. for the last 6 weeks not a single one of the Investigators nor recent Converts that we have been working with have come to church. 6 weeks of feeling like we as missionaries are not doing all we can. Six weeks of feeling like we have let the lord down because it is Evident that no ones faith has been built by us and by saturday night we always feel like we have done everything and then Sunday they don't come. So this last Saturday we had done things differently and been even more bold and instead of just promising blessings we promised blessing and told of consequences. We felt like the energy had built in a tremendous way and everything looked like it would be perfect on Sunday. As we are teaching our final lesson Saturday night to one recent convert, we receive a text from his Gran daughter who is an even more recent convert than he is, and who had moved from his house with her not yet LDS family. The text informed us that she had a very important business meeting the next day and couldn't make it to church, even though just the day before she had been practically in tears wanting to feel the spirit of church again. We informed her Grandfather of the text and posed the question "what more can we do?" "what are we missing?" he continued to bear his testimony to us, and related to us that he knew that She would come back to church and all we could do was be frank with her and tell her how it is and ask her what she really wants. My companion and I said a prayer when we had returned to the truck, as he drove I compiled the text message that we felt we needed to send to her to help her make the right decisions. This was the text that we decided on (note we paraphrased a few parts of the scripture because she doesn't understand old English well. "1 Nephi 3:7 'I will go and do the things the lord commands, for I know that the lord doesn't give commandments to the children of men, unless he shall prepare a way for them to accomplish the things which he has commanded them'...... god has commanded that we go to church. I know god has already prepared the way for you to go to church. It rests on you to find it. God is there. He is knocking. Will you let him in? Or will you leave him out in the cold? again? We just want you to do what you know will make you happy. HE wants you happy. With all the love we can give, we invite you to open the door and go to church with your Savior. He's waiting for you." Her reply was less than moving for us as she put off the invitation for the next week. not wanting to possibly miss out on an opportunity to further her career. My companion and I knelt together and offered probably one of the most humble and pleading prayers either of us had ever given in behalf of someone else. We watered our pillows with our tears as our prayers continued separately. I'm not sure how long we prayed together nor how long our individual prayers comprised, but we felt the calming that comes as you weary the lord with sincerity and faith. In the morning instead of inviting or pushing her anymore we sent one final, uplifting text wishing her luck and invoking blessing on her according to the true desires of her heart. Her reply literally made us leap for joy it read simply "Thank you but I decided to go to church." As it went she had searched for a way and found a ride to church with a not yet LDS friend and rescheduled the meeting for an hour later. We continued with our usual Sunday morning Shepherding, and as we left the house of our last investigator who informed us he wouldn't be able to go, a truck driving the opposite direction stopped. A slightly overjoyed and bedazzled looking lady leaped from the passenger seat and flagged us down. She informed us that her and her daughter had just moved into an adjoining house nearby and would like the elders to pass by. She informed us that her family were all members of the church, but that her and her husband weren't. She informed us that she would like to be taught, but couldn't make it to church that day. Plans were quickly made for members who lived nearby to come for the Daughter (who is a member) and we had a very good day at church. We felt the hand of the lord leading us and others and we know that it was because we asked in sincere humility to be able to see the blessings of the lord.....

I think that should cover it and I went late lol (Lo siento Padre.) _-Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

August 20, 2012

so no Email this week.. sad but I figured youd want to know how it was going.. we had a really powerful week with a sunday that let us down. No one went to church OR the special fireside.. out of the 15 that said they would.. pray for us to be able to be more bold in our teaching and more crisp and powerful in the way we teach that should cover just about everything as far as prayer needs this week. so dad reminded me that my birthday is in like a month so i figured Id put down a 'yes please list' lol .. hmm lets see 1) quarters.. just make my life happy and send as much as possible.. they help us out soo much.
2) beautiful ties that are bold but NOT OVERBEARING they should not be the only thing noticeable in the room.
3) socks and/or shoes and/or money for them is appreciated. and thats about it in a missionaries life
4) any uplifting music. (Spanish preferred)
5) gift cards to in in out, subway, or major shopping centers also acceptable (if cash is sent just put it in my account to avoid robberies.. i think Andrews' Peruvian mail carrier moved to Tucson)

other than that just pray that Someone we are working with will come to church, because when they dont, we feel like the week was a failure.. even though we know it wasnt.. it feels like it.
I love you all and will talk to you later. Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

ok so first off.. that was a scorpion at the Urias house. and the cut off the tail so the big manly mexican men both let it walk on their hands lol I decided Id better not.. with my luck... lol but it was cool.. im going to try and send some morepictures but I dont have time to tell you who is who in all of them.. Ill see what I can do.. last week I said bike fast.. I meant car fast.. where we literally go the whole day without using our car.. and for us.. since we live 6 miles away from the northern border of our 30 mile area it was rough.. but not to tough.. We have gone on some nice hikes/ mountain climbing adventures in the last two P-days (pics to be included) and they are definitely harder coming down lol. the the view is beautiful... there are Three recient converts in my Area. Jesus, then Alberto and his Gran-daughter Violet. as far as blessings go there doing well.. but neither Alberto nor violet have been coming to church regularly its probably like 1 week out of 4 or 5 that they come.. though we are working hard with them and the rest of their family if you could just pray for the Santa Cruz family to be able to feel the redeeming love of the Savior thatd be awesome.. (especially if you all pray right at 5:30 pm tonight.. just a quick one for Tico especially since we will have a unique opportunity to teach him and .. well basically, he needs it more than the rest of his family. thatd be great! the Finding is slow as well so pray that a ton of people will have a desire to go to the mission President fireside this coming sunday and we will use that as our main finding skill this week! besides that .. hmm my new missionary is having trouble with insomnia..  so with his sleep pills its hard for him to get up.. pray that Ill continue to have the Patience that I need to continue helping him the best way I can. That should do it on my end. Ill focus on some pictures now.  ok so last week was a small sheer mountain but it was awesome (first three pictures 70 72 77) then 118-133 are the large sheer mountain that took an 50 min to climb and more than an hour and a half to get down.. the last picture is what happens when your foot slips on a rock and you slam down on a jumping cholla cactus.. one day I will relate to you how I got it off and how Elder Foote my mission 'brother' helped me out! lol I love you and Ill talk to you next week.

July 31, 2012

Ok first off on this one I just wanna adress Ashley, :D I love you still dont worry, I have sent at least 1 letter to you every week it just feels long sometimes if I send it late one week and early the next. I love you and hope your still doin your part.
so Elder Rojas left today and Im finishing the training of elder Smith all by my lonesome.. I feel like my spanish has increased rapidly and Im being blessed with the opportunity to work it with out the crutch of having a fluent companion. I have some pictures to send home as well but we forgot the cord lol. so maybe next week.. p-day time is golden for me because Honestly the 3 to 5 hours of sports straight help reset my body and my nerves for the next week and it helps me focus better.. on weeks where I dont have a good pday sports I dont function half as well.. or at least I dont think so.. for that reason we are always rushed on pday trying to get more personal reset time.. Ive accually borrowed a work out program called p 90 x and am trying to copy the cds and establish my own weekly workout to help keep them tortillas off.. I mean those pounds off.. just to give you a small taste of my health status I will tell you that I have gained weight.. BUT my body fat percentage has stayed virtually the same.. and Im currently trying to do more cario and less weights so that I can drop the bf percentage and maybe get back down to 180 or 170 with 5 -10% body fat instead of 18+% lol but Im with an elder finally who enjoys biking as much as I do and has a nicer bike than me.. so we will see if he can keep up.
the whethers been nice nothing over about a 95 and im only about 15 kilometers south of tucson.  we are finding a few new investigators and friends.. one you can pray for is horacio.. help him feel the forgiving. and enabling power of the atonement and hes as good as wet. then lets see.. continue praying for Alberto and Violet the recent converts there lives are just stressful and ALOT of stuff happens to them that dont seem like blessing right now.. maybe pray that they will recognize all the blessing that they DO have instead...thats all on this front.. Im doing good and Ill chat next week. I love you Mom- Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan.

July 23, 2012

hey Raechel,
well, I have been comforted alot this week. but its getting harder today, especially as I read and write about Granda over and over again.. its been awhile since I cried like Im crying right now. Im sure Everyone in the library thinks Im a weirdo but it doesn't matter to me. I know what Im suppost to do AND where I'm suppost to be... even though I'm in a threesome and it wouldn't even slow them donw to have me leave for a day... as a show of my faith and Testimony to God AND to my Family (especially Wes and Safa) I'm making the tough decision to serve with all my heart mind might and streghth with an Eye single to the glory of God! I HAVE the desire to serve! So I KNOW that I am CALLED by god to do his work! IN HIS WAY! ... If you could (im not sure if you can) but, could you do something for me? I'd like it if something like a picture of mine was left with Grandma.. I dont know.. It feels like a weird thing to ask.. but something like that.. You could even read an excerpt from the testimony I just shared if you feel like that'd be better. Either way I know Grandma at least understands why I can't be there physically! I love you Raechel .. thankyou for writing me today. I needed it!

July 16, 2012

So wow thats a bunch of stuff to cover! I will do my best rather quickly.
So Me and My comp from Peru are Training a new Missionary named Elder Smith from Ohio, he is really cool and we all get along great. Ill send some pictures home in a little bit! we are planning some Pretty Epic Pictures we just dont have alot of time to take them.. it seems like we are always in a rush ..  but thats a good thing :D I just dont know how it ALWAYS seems that we just dont have enough time to say and do everything we plan lol.. just appointment to appointment to bed lol. but its been about 70-80 degrees everyday this week because we have had monsoons every day. Ill send home some videos next week but Im only in one of them I think lol but yeah the wheathers been nice we are teaching alot and working with a lot of members and part members and knocking and refferels and teaching so there is always something to do . As far as a journal the closest thing to a journal I have is my weekly letter to Ashley which I have been putting on the back burner for a few weeks now because of said lack of time lol but essentially I write alittle bit Every night and then send it out monday but lately its been once or twice a week that I have been writing... I also have a study Journal... but I hate writing while I read so I have only used it twice.... I ll try to be better at recoring Everything! well the week went by fast with not alot to report keep Praying for Polo and the Ruiz family and I know we will have plenty of success :D Thankyou for your Testimony about Repentance.. we are actually teaching a three family family home evening tonight on Repentance and I have been thinking about what should be said.. maybe youll help me help someone to their new life tonight :D I love you and Ill talk to you again next week!

July 9, 2012

hello Mom,
This last week and a half has been Great.. I will re send last weeks Email after this one because it had the baptism photos attached. We are in the middle of Monsoon season here and since I live about 5 Miles south of Tucson we actually have had a bunch of cloudy, rainy, cool days (90* is cool lol). also because we have had 2 Baptisms recently it seems like things will are slowing Down a bit.. We have been focused on finding people to teach. There is on Family that moved into our area that have been investigating the church for 2 years.. please Pray that the Ruiz (roo-ees) family has the court Divorce papers come in so that the Father and Mother can be married and baptized. Well In other new Elder Rojas (Peruvian) and I are dual training an Elder that is being Transferred Permanently to our mission.. we was headed to Chile but because of a prescription that inst available in South America he is coming straight here from the MTC soo that will be interesting :D That's all the new I Have today but Ill let you know how Everything is going later... we have to head to the transfer cite (center Tucson) to pick op the new missionary. I love you Mom and I Promise to share an Experience next week :D Good by for now. -Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan

Ps. Happy Birthday to Andrew. thats like 23? Right... Wow we are getting old.. lol

July 2, 2012

well i guess i should start this letter off like this!
These are pictures from last fridays BAPTISM .. hermano Alberto Santa Cruz. there is Him with the Member who we had batism him(Jesus Molines{recent convert ..1 month}) him with me him with his grandaughter.. (the next one we will baptise!) and a few more! I hope you enjoy the pictures.. I really am low on time because of them but a picture is worth 1000 words so that will be my letter this week .. sorry lol :D I can now see fruits to labors ! :D

well this week I found last weeks letter.. I think that because you have like 3 different emails it takes them awhile to process them.. since they want to filter out everything thats not you or dad. Well as far as Andrew and his Ashley go.. they seem like a nice couple and I know that if Raechel approves then she must be pretty darn Nice for Andrew! as far as the wedding goes.. If they were to do it at the Gila valley Arizona Temple (the one inside my mission boundaries) then I would probably have a 90% chance on being able to go. Since its the one outside of my mission its like .01% chance but Ill see what I can do. I have Interviews with President in two weeks I beleive!

Well in Other News we had another baptism. Violeta Santa Cruz, the grand daughter of alberto (the one who was baptised 4 weeks ago!) and the best part was that since he received the Aronic Priesthood last week, he was able to walk her down into the waters of baptism. Ill hook up some pictures for you to see. Other than that the work seems to be going steadily but slowly as we teach and testify to Part member families. We are seeing the hands of the Lord in almost EVERY ASPECT of the work! well I love you mom and I hope to hear from you soon :) (Ill probably recieve this weks letter next week) lol _-Elder Taylor W. Logan

June 19, 2012

ok i REALLY feel like I should know who Becky and John are..(i feel Hymus..) but if you could give me a last name and maybe their adress.. email or home... thatd be great! Well we are working well with alot of people right now.. we have two part member families where the whole non member portions are slowing gaining interest.. they have been building slow but steady and firm foundations. we also have quite a few potencial investigators so pray for us to meet the immediate and Eternal needs of ALL the people we teach.. thatd help more than anything :D in other new Elder Rojas and I had to switch out our chevy colorado for a ford fusion.. thats not going to be suffient form of transportation for about 50% of our area.. which will mean more parking and biking in the crappy dirt portions of the area just to protect the car...  we feel the Lords hands in just about Everything we do and we are striving to include him in Everything else. well thats pretty much how its going this week .. ill have 6 more weeks here in south tucson and the 110 degree wheather :D .. Oh that reminds me.. a Dehydrated body cannot digest food. so drink more that you think you should of water ;p i thought i had been but i found out different the morning after the spiciest chile tostadas.... lets just say... ouch... and leave it there :D but let me know something alittle morespecific for next week if youd like. I love you and thank you for the pictures and

June 4, 2012

well That was a beautiful talk mother. 99.9%true but still powerful :) i want you to know that im sitting in a medical library for Arizona state university and i was just crying like a baby.. :)
I want you to know that I Prayed hard. I repented of all my sins to the best of MY OWN abilities. I looked and searched and feasted the scriptures, preach my gospel, ensigns, and liahonas and my answer was 'you can talk about it .. but its not time! forget yourself and go to work!' and I received that answer many times while in my first area and it would comfort me enough to keep working hard .. That answer is what taught me how to have a STRAIGHT line.. I owed EVERYTHING to my Father in Heaven AND i worked my but off to qualify for the spirit that i had with me everyday.. God Answers our prayers! in his own way. in his own time! this I know because after 1 week in Douglas working with a successful missionary in a successful area.. and NOT seeing fruits I returned to my question "what is thy will lord" .. but my answer was different.. distinctly different.. it was time to talk to my President. (keep in mind also that My mission President had just changed and that the previous Mission President Faught HARD to keep missionaries in the mission..) Had I confessed before President Walker I would have been clean.. sure but i might not have been sent home.. and as much of an inconveivence as it was (at first especially) I KNOW that i was sent home by God AT THAT TIME to accomplish MANY different tasks.. I Beleive that I was where I needed to be at the time God needed me to be there.. I wouldn't have the same testimony as I do now if i hadn't gone home. and NOW i am a better and sharper tool with a larger blade for the lord to use to harvest FIELDS of White! for they are white and all ready for harvest. and I am still thrusting in my sickle with my might that I might lay up in store AND bring salvation to my soul.
as for my plaque.. I have been thinking about my favorite scripture and I have a sort of proposition.
If they can mix two scriptures for me I would love for them to start with the 2nd kings where it says
" 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them(17) And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his aeyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and bchariots of fire round about Elisha."
Then finish with D & C 4
"For behold the afield is white already to bharvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in cstore that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul;(5) And afaithbhopeccharity and dlove, with aneeye single to the fglory of God, gqualify him for the work.
That sounds good :D well ive run out of time but Ill talk to you next week :D I love you Mom ---Elder Taylor Westbrook Logan!

Mom's Sacrament Meeting "Missionary Moment" - May 29, 2012

Hello Son!!
HOLA!!  Here is a letter that is anything but "lazy."
Brother Platt called me Friday night and asked me to share a missionary story from you --- also asked me to give the ward members some background information on you since most of them don't know who you are.  So ..... I prayed for inspiration, and went through the last couple e-mails you sent to see what I could pull out and share.  I had asked you several questions in my e-mail the week prior, but you never wrote me last week, so I had to just pull from your other e-mails.
Here is a sort of script of how it went:
"Last night I had a nightmare that I was waiting to share my missionary moment, and the lady who spoke before me ended up taking up the entire meeting.  I kept thinking, "Why doesn't the Bishop do something and stop her?"  When I woke up this morning, I realized that the Lord was giving me a warning not to talk for too long.  ---- audience chuckles ... hahahaha..... ---- (but it's true, I really did have that dream!)
Brother Platt asked me to give you some background on Taylor.  Taylor is not somebody you get to know, Taylor is someone you have to "experience" in order to appreciate.  We refer to him as a "squiggle" because he has a difficult time understanding the concept of a straight line.   ----hahaha more chuckles from the audience ---- looked at the Everetts and the Riveras and they were nodding their heads in agreement.
When Taylor made the decision to go on a mission, I was really pleased, obviously.  Many people made comments to me that Taylor would be a missionary who would set the world on fire!  I know they meant that as a compliment, but I was secretly a little concerned, because Taylor is a kid who literally might actually set something on fire.  (hahahaha.....loud laughter).  He is a boy who kept me in parent/teacher conferences, principal's offices, court rooms, and emergency rooms, so I admit, I worried a little when he was called to the Arizona/Tucson Spanish Mission, that I would get a phone call one day from the mission present saying that Taylor was in jail somewhere south of the border for doing something silly, and I would never see my son again.  (roaring laughter from the congregation.)
In all seriousness though, I worried about Taylor.  I could sense from his letters that something was just "off" with him.  the focus of his letters seemed to lack those things you would expect to read in a missionary's letter---things like testimony-building experiences, how the work was progressing, and personal learning experiences.  There wasn't anything wrong in his letters, it's just that there was something missing.
Although my heart sunk, I wasn't surprised when 8 months into his mission, I received a phone call from President Osborne informing me that Taylor was coming home, and that I would be receiving a phone call shortly from him.
Later that evening, Taylor called me and explained what had happened, and with his permission I will share with you what he told me.
He told me that he and his companion had not been having any success.  They were concerned because they weren't finding people who were ready to hear the gospel, and those they were teaching were not accepting it.  They prayed together as companions to seek the Lord's help in understanding what they needed to do in order to have success in their area.  Taylor was overwhelmed with a profound feeling that he was the cause of the problem.  There were things from his past that he had ignored and swept aside, believing he could deal with them on his own.  He decided that he needed to take action, so he had a conversation with his mission president.  The mission president assured Taylor that he had done the right thing, and to go back to work, because he was more than likely going to stay in the mission field.  The mission president contacted President Osborne, who concurred.  It then went to the mission board, who referred it to Salt Lake, and word was sent that Taylor would be going home for six months to take care of things and prepare to return and complete his mission.
And so, on September 7th, Taylor came home.  He had to endure the embarrassment of facing his family and friends, which as you can only imagine, was not easy.  Once home, my parents had some medical issues that required full time care and assistance.  Taylor moved in with them to take care of them.  My family, who are not members of the church, repeatedly asked Taylor to stay home and not return to his mission...that he was needed more here.  They offered to pay him to make caring for my parents his mission.
But in this situation, there was a straight line for Taylor.  He knew from the moment he came home, that he wanted to return to the mission field to finish his mission.  There was no variance from that the entire time that he was home.
On April 28th, Taylor reported back to his mission in Tucson, Arizona.
If Taylor could give any advice to those of you planning to serve a mission, he would say this, "Be clean.  If you're not clean, do whatever it takes to get clean, and then stay clean.  Also, read and gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon before you enter the mission field."
The letters that I receive from Taylor now, are quite different than those I received the first time he went out.  I'd like to share a couple excerpts with you now.
(I then shared a little bit about your temple trip and your testimony of Joseph Smith, about the people you were teaching, and what you wanted us to pray for.  I also shared what you wrote about Alma and Amulek and how they modeled the perfect pattern for a missionary companionship.  I also shared with them that you said that the biggest differences in you the second time out was that 1) there was no guilt, and 2) you had the spirit with you so much stronger....and that you could tell when you were being led by the spirit.  I also read the part where you said that you could bet your two investigators would be baptized by the end of May.)
This (I pointed to your letters), is a missionary who can set the world on fire!"
-----
So, my son, how did I do?
Let me tell you something.....SO many people came up to me afterwards and said that was the most amazing missionary story they had ever heard shared in our sacrament meetings.  They appreciated so much that you were open and allowed me to share your experience openly and honestly with them.  They said that most people would have tried to cover it up.  One sister wrote me a note and handed it to me .... I don't have it with me so I can't tell you what it says verbatim, but it's along the same lines...of how much she admires you and appreciates me sharing your story.  She and her husband felt like they could go home right then, and they would have been filled, because they felt the Spirit so strongly.
During the rest of the meetings, several people told me that they also worried about their sons and whether or not they would be ready to serve....some said they could tell their sons were really listening to your story and it made an impact on them.
Last night, the missionaries came to our house and told us how strong the spirit was when they heard your story,,,,and that so many people have told them how much they appreciated it.  The missionaries wanted to thank me, and to thank you for having the courage to be open.  They said, "This is what the gospel is all about!"

From May 9, 2012

Hey mom i just have a quick request .. we have permission to set up a skype call with you and we have a member here in my new area that is going to allow us to use their computer... soooo since my preperation day is tuesday this week could you send me your skype adress and email associated with it ... and grandpas too just in case? If i have it before 11 tomorrow ill be good.. and dont worry ill have time to reply to this beautiful letter tomorrow :D i Love ykou and cant wait for next sunday :D

Grandpa has skype... if we have to you can do it there... ill ask the members about face time but idk as of right now.. (skype is free btw).. skype works just like ow ron and ronnie talk... i  thought that that WAS~ what he used lol..
Well as far as me feeling ifferent this time around... there are two BIG differences... the first is that i dont have any Guilt.... the second is that i have gained personal revelation that if i persevere to the end i will continually have a saved soul. those are the biggest diferences that i have felt so far... maybe alittle more in tune with the spirit but its hard to tell sometimes when your being led (or at least it was before)... besides that the baptism we had was in my district not my companionship.... BUUUT today was transfers and i moved east one area into the area that had baptised... we have some great new investigators that im excited to streanghthen and watch grow... you could pray for juan garcia to be able to discern between false prophets and real ones and that Alberto will continue inviting his friends to learn with us ... He is an awesome investigator.. he trusts the missionaries and what we are teaching him and i believe he will progress extreemely fast and after only 4 visits he invited one of his friends to learn as well.and we taught him the word of wisdom in a better way than I think I have EVER taught it... it was so simple to teach to someone who was hanging on every word we were saying.. we taught him that his body is a temple and that the spirit needs to reside there but there are 5 substances that the spirit doesnt like... it made it sound like one of the easyest lessones to teach . well i am out of time for today so ill talk to you sunday... well be READY for a call saturday night between 6and 9 so that we can set up the sunday night call! I love you and ill talk to youthen --Elder Taylor W. Logan

From April 23, 2012

ok sooo .. I JUST received Last weeks email after i read this weeks it poped up and confused me a bit... well.. lets see one of the best lessions i have been in soo far since returning is when we were passing by a possible in order to share the first message.. she had said that she hadnt had time when we knocked the first time but set a date for the next saturday so we could pass by and see her.. just another quick lesson at the door to see if we could spark up a wanting to know the truth .. when we went back on saturday she had been waiting for us and only had one question to start .. what is the message you have for me? .. We continued to share a first lession (in which we teach the principles of "god is your loving heavenly father","Prophets","The saviors earthly ministry and Atonement", "The great Apostasy","then "The restoration of the gospel"[durring whitch we share the first vision],"The book of Mormon",and "how you can know") we asked her questions after just about each principle such as "would having a prophet like moses on the earth today help you? change your life?" and  "what would it mean to you to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of god?" and by the end she had excepted a baptismal date at whitch point we found out that her daughter who lives up in like michigan or something like that has been telling her all about what we believe because her daughter is taking lessions with Missionaries there as well.. and the last question she asked us.. in a rather defeated tone... was "Soo if this is true i need to stop praying to my saints?"  and we could tell that the spirit had already testified to her that theese things were true and that (although stubbournly at first) she would be willing to change her life to come closer to her heavenly father. She was easily conviced to close the lesson with a word of prayer .. and after a quick lesson on how to pray she offered a beautiful and sincere prayer where she thanked the lord for us coming to help her and she continued to ask forgiveness from the lord and began to weep as she asked for it. In just one short hour Carmen had acepted our invitation to her to grow closer to her savior by means of showing her faith and repenting of any transgressions she has made AND by accepting to prepare to be baptised on the 26th of may in order to recieve the Holy Spirit of god as her constant companion. It was a testomony building experience to me that if we follow the spirit and invite others to come unto Christ, and help them understand our message by asking them questions that make them think and that challenge them to grow. We can successfully bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the HEARTS of those we teach.
I hope this is what your looking for.. ill have to practice a bit because i ran out of time today but theyll get better (hopefully) I love you Mom!
